Discussing the topics the hypnotist covers on it, Alex detailed a show she had been listening to about comfort eating and self-motivation.

“I listened to one today about motivating yourself,” she said as she turned to her co-star.

“I think that’s what a lot of people are finding difficult and they’re comfort eating.”

Michael then asked: “Why are you looking at me?”

“I don’t know,” she replied, prompting Michael and Paul to burst into laughter.

“Aw, no don’t Al,” Alex’s co-star continued, to which she replied: “Sorry.”

Swiftly trying to move on from the awkward moment, Alex went on to discuss how the pandemic may be affecting people’s sleep.

“Lots of people as well, obviously people are finding it a bit difficult,” she continued but couldn’t finish her sentence due to laughing.

Turning to Michael, she added: “I feel bad now.”

“Yeah you should,” he replied.

Alex then clarified: “I just looked over, I’m not looking at you.”

Laughing, he pointed at his outfit adding: “I’m [wearing] all black and everything.”

In view of her 238,000 followers, the host replied: “Just to clarify, no haircut has happened since the end of feb, before lockdown (which was a tiny trim).

“I’m sort of pleased that you think I have had it cut though cos it’s a right mess!!!!!”(sic)

Another complimented the presenter for handling her getting ready routine well with no team.

They wrote: “This lock down is certainly sorting the wheat from the chaff when it comes to doing your own hair/make up for TV. You’re doing a great job with yours!”

“Thanks Catherine xx,” she replied.

The One Show continues tonight at 7pm on BBC One.
