Bill Burr roasts Joe Rogan after he suggests only ‘b*tches’ wear face masks
Joe Rogan was called out by comedian Bill Burr recently, after the podcaster’s comments that only ‘b*tches’ wear face masks during the coronavirus pandemic.
In turn Burr has been heaped with praise for his epic comeback, after Rogan suggested they debate whether or not people should be wearing masks.
You know, the face shields medical experts have been imploring the population wear in order to help save lives? Yeah, those.
The pair got into the conversation when Burr was a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience last week, as coronavirus inevitably came up.
Speaking about the pandemic (which is all we can do, really), which has so far killed more than 42,000 in the UK, Burr said: ‘The whole f**ing time there’s been f***ing a**holes on my street walking around no masks, not quarantining.’

As Rogan teased ‘You want people to walk down the street with a mask on?’ Burr wasn’t being dragged into a debate on whether or not people should be wearing a face covering.
Burr continued: ‘I don’t want to start this bulls**t. I’m not going to sit here with no medical degree, listening to you with no medical degree, with an American flag behind you, smoking a cigar, acting like we know what’s up better than the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).’
He went on, as Rogan laughed: ‘All I do is I watch the news once every two weeks. I’m like “Mask or no mask? Still mask? Alright, masks.”
‘That’s all I give a f**k about.’
Burr added that wearing masks was now seen as ‘this soft thing that you’re doing, like being courteous’, as Rogan shared his thoughts that face masks were ‘for b****es’.
‘Why is it for b*tches?’ Burr went on. ‘Oh God, you’re so tough, with your f***ing open nose and throat. And your five o’clock shadow, this is a man right here. Man doesn’t wear a mask.
‘Why does it always become like that… man vs the b*tch.’
Rogan – who said at one point he was convinced he had Covid – said we ‘make fun of anything that seems like you’re not taking chances, right? That’s what the mask is’.
Fans were all for Burr’s takedown of Rogan, as one suggested the comedian should be the one with the podcast.
One wrote on Twitter: ‘Bill Burr is a thousand times smarter than Joe Rogan, and HE should be the one with the everyman podcast that’s a huge hit.’
They continued to comment this week, as another added on Monday: ‘Howlin at bill burr lecturing joe rogan on the woes of toxic masculinity. (sic)’
Another chimed in: ‘He was about to start the “masks are for b**ches” agenda again and Bill Burr shut it down, pronto.’
Face masks have been something of a contentious issue since the pandemic started, with opinion previously divided over how effective they are as a preventative mechanism.
The Government has advised ‘that people should aim to wear a face-covering in enclosed spaces where social distancing is not always possible and they come into contact with others they do not normally meet, for example on public transport or in some shops.’
Following the guidance, face masks were made compulsory on public transport last week.
