Abi Franklin (played by Sally Carman) and Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) are locked in a vicious custody battle over their baby son Alfie. Coronation Street fans have seen Imran is prepared to play dirty to sabotage Abi’s case but will the mum finally get the chance to look after her son when the lawyer is dealt a devastating blow?

In upcoming scenes, Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) finds Abi alone in Seb Franklin’s (Harry Visinoni) memorial garden.

Meanwhile, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) suggests Imran and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) have a naming day for baby Alife.

Imran tells his partner Abi won’t be invited to the naming party.

Toyah’s left conflicted but agrees to the lawyer’s wishes.

Despite being kept out of her son’s life, Abi makes a discovery that could help her in the custody battle.

She spots newcomer Ben Chancellor in a compromising position.

Abi encounters Ben buying some drugs for himself from a dealer in a car.

She begins to film the exchange with her phone but is spotted by the dodgy newcomer.

Ben attempts to threaten Abi but she remains calm and issues him with an ultimatum.

She tells him he can either admit that Imran paid him to lie about her buying drugs or she will show the incriminating video to his boss.

Abi warns him she’s prepared to take it one step further and share the video with the police if he doesn’t come clean.

Will Ben agree to Abi’s demands or run straight to Imran to concoct another plan to take down the mum?

This week, Abi was mortified when she realised the lawyer hired Ben to find dirt on her.

Ben managed to take photos of Abi giving her friend some cash which he then passed on to Imran.

Coronation Street viewers will know Abi was just trying to get rid of her friend but Ben revealed he was willing to lie in court to discredit her.

Imran is willing to pay Ben to tell the court Abi was buying drugs in an effort to sabotage her bid to look after Alfie.

However, Ben owes no loyalty to Imran and may be tempted to back out of the deal.

If he values his job more than the money Imran has offered him, Abi could persuade him to tell the truth.

Abi hasn’t had much luck in recent months and this could be the break she needs.

Spurred on by the hope she stands a chance of winning the custody battle, Abi could begin to mount a strong case against Imran.

If Ben keeps his alliance secret and betrays Imran in court, this could be the point the lawyer’s case falls apart.

Coronation Street airs on ITV on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm.
