Coronation Street’s Katie McGlynn unveils incredible one stone weight loss after 12-week body transformation

Coronation Street actress Katie McGlynn has unveiled her weight loss transformation after shedding one stone in just 12 weeks.

The soap star, best known for playing Sinead Tinker on the ITV soap, revealed she’s feeling better than ever after overhauling her lifestyle.

The 26-year-old revealed that she previously felt “very down” about her appearance, saying her hectic schedule meant she wasn’t training or eating healthy meals.

Katie flaunted her new figure after leaving Coronation Street last year, following a storyline which saw her character pass away following a battle with cervical cancer.

The blonde beauty took part in a 12-week Ultimate Performance transformation plan, which helped her to achieve a much healthier lifestyle.

Speaking about her new figure, Katie said: “I am so happy with my overall physical and mental wellbeing after this transformation.

"I’ve lost a dress size, I’ve gained more muscle, I’m getting stronger in the gym. I feel like myself again, finally. I feel like back-to-normal Katie.

“Before the transformation, I don’t want to say I was depressed, but I did feel very down about my weight, mentally and physically I was tired.

"I didn’t feel like myself whatsoever. I felt sluggish. I felt really dowdy and frumpy, whereas now I just feel more myself again. I’ve got more energy, I’ve got a lot more confidence in general.

She added: “I have faced quite a lot of challenges during my transformation. As an actor, it can be a stressful life. It’s really good, but I felt really emotionally drained after my Corrie scenes. I had not realised how it had affected me emotionally.

"So I confided in my trainer, Olivia, about that and she really helped me through that."

Katie added that she “finally” feels back to her normal self after stepping back from Coronation Street.

“I have learned what to do nutrition-wise, and what to do with my training and steps. I’ve learned so much and I’m not going to go back to my old habits constantly,” she explained.

"Life is about balance. But how I feel now, I’m definitely going to be carrying on with my training and nutrition."

“I finally feel back to normal kooky Katie and I’ve stepped away from Sinead in Coronation Street. I feel like me and I’m excited for the New Year ahead.”
