Coronation Street’s Max Turner (played by Paddy Bever) has had it rough over the last couple of months, struggling with school and also his relationship with his dad David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd). After David caught Max with his teacher Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard), wallet, which he stole from his coat, Max has been walking on thin ice around the school and at home. However, things could soon take a turn as Max and Daniel’s relationship reaches a new level.

In upcoming scenes, Max sets off to school, where he runs into Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain), who all give him a hard time about his video.

David’s anger towards Max over the incident is fuelled when he finds out from his teacher Daniel that he didn’t show up to school again.

Furious at his son’s behaviour, David orders Max to apologise for upsetting everyone with his video.

When Max refuses, David grabs his laptop and accidentally drops it, leaving Max to storm out of their family home.

Later, in Victoria Garden, Max confides in Daniel how he wishes he could put things right and asks whether it’s too late for him to make amends.

Could this be the start of a new friendship between Max and Daniel?

Will apologising to Daniel and becoming a better student be the turning point for Max’s behaviour?

Fans will remember Max made a disgusting video for social media about Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) murdered mum.

He soon filmed Sam in a prequel style video in the place where Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) was gunned down.

Sticking the camera in Sam’s face, Max tried to force him to talk about the tragedy but was soon caught out when Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) found Summer confronting Max about the video.

Meanwhile, Lily Platt (Brooke Melonie) locked Sam on the balcony in an effort to force him to speak.

Viewers know that he has been traumatised by seeing his mum’s body, that he completely shut down on all communication.

A furious Nick confronted Max and asked him: “What were you thinking? You know Sam’s struggling, it’s sick!

“It’s a nasty video, it’s all about Natasha and the sinkhole and played out like some trashy conspiracy theory, what were you thinking?”

Max refused to answer, and when David later tried to punish his son, Max took a swig at David.

Fans were completely disgusted with Max’s actions and took to Twitter to express their annoyance at the young Platt.
