Corrie scene hints at Chesney Brown's death?
If there’s one thing we know about award winning Coronation Street, they like to tease us.
They like to drop hints, clues, small scenes in episodes that will mean something huge months later…has this happened in tonight’s episode?
With focus being on Norris Cole’s funeral, tonight, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) was busy helping Freda (Ali Briggs) with arrangements.
Stressed thanks to Mary’s (Patti Clare) involvement, Gemma enjoyed a cuppa outside the kebab shop, where Chesney (Sam Aston) was working.
As conversation about Norris continued, Chesney mentioned about who he’d like to attend his funeral.
Yes, to quote Gemma ‘that’s morbid!’.
Chesney hoped that Gemma and their children would attend but, after Gemma left, the young man was left on his own.
Talking to himself, Chesney appeared to want one person to say the following:
‘If I could sum up Chesney in four words…”he was a good egg”.’
That’s actually 5 words, Ches ð#Corrie @itv @WeAreSTV @itvhub pic.twitter.com/1z24LXh3iI
Obviously, the focus could be on the comedic side of Corrie we know and love, given ‘he was a good egg’ is actually five words.
But what if it is foreshadowing?
We know there are some huge scenes coming up in autumn in the form of Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) escaping from prison, and the sinkhole storyline being revisited…could Chesney meet his end during either of these dramatic stunts?
We’ll certainly revisit this article if we’re correct…
