Coronation Street's Millie Gibson and her co-star Maximus Evans have been spotted looking extra summery as the cast and crew wrapped up for the day after filming tense court scenes.

As the production team called it quits for the day, both Millie and Maximus could be seen leaving the set in the breezy summer outfits as temperatures soar up to 30 degrees in Manchester city centre.

16 year old Millie, who plays the role of Kelly Neelan, has proven she is clearly dedicated to her acting career as the young starlet left the set carrying a book titled Respect for Acting by Uta Hagden.

And it appears as though her hard work is paying off as the blonde bombshell has been at the heart of the violent storyline on the Cobbles over the last few months, which is due to come to a head later this month.

The young actress donned a short paisley halter neck dress which she paired with a silver set of Birkenstock sandals and a large water bottle to help her manage the sweltering heat.

Millie is currently sharing scenes with Maximus Evans who portrays the role of killer Corey Brent, with their characters going on trial for the murder of Seb Franklin.

But 19 year old Maximus was all smiles as he joked around with the crew after hours following his harrowing scenes in the courtroom.

Dressed in a stripped button down T-shirt the confident actor stepped out of the courtroom in a dapper pair of black sunglasses which he teamed with an army green baseball hat and a trusty backpack.

This is the first time the favoured ITV soap, who have recently cast Daniel Jillings for a new storyline, has filmed on location since the UK went into lockdown in March last year and the crew have made sure to stick to the government guidelines.

All actors have been chauffeured to location in their own individual car in order to limit any unwanted contact and all off-screen members have continued to wear a face covering throughout filming.

The two teens are facing charges for their involvement in the violent death of Corrie favourite Seb, played by Harry Visinoni, who was kicked to death by Corey and his thugs back in May.

Fans of the long-standing show, who recently shared their joy over Emma's romantic gesture for Curtis, will be eagerly sitting on the edges of their seats to watch the latest developments in the gripping soap which is set to air over the next few weeks.
