Dame Deborah James enjoys a pint as she breaks two day social media silence

Dame Deborah James has broken her two day social media silence as her mother Heather shared a snap of her enjoying a pint in the sunshine.

Deborah, 40, who has been raising awareness of bowel cancer since her diagnosis in 2016, is currently receiving end of life care.

Sitting next to her mother, who appeared to be drinking a glass of wine, Deborah could be seen drinking a pint by a lake. "A lovely relaxing lunch in the sunshine," it was captioned.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the campaigner revealed that bowel cancer symptoms will now be put on the packaging of toilet paper brand, Andrex.

The 40 year old has been petitioning for bowel cancer symptoms to be put on toilet paper.

Announcing the news on social media, Andrex wrote: "Thank you @Bowelbabe for the brilliant work you're doing to raise awareness of bowel cancer symptoms."

Sharing another post about Andrex's partnership with Bowel Cancer UK, Deborah's caption read: "28 million packs! Coming soon! @andrexuk. Puppy we are embracing the poo."

Andrex and Bowel Cancer UK are partnering to provide the symptoms of Bowel Cancer on toilet roll packaging.

The company donated £65,000 to the charity and within the next year, they plan on having bowel cancer symptoms on all of its packaging.

People will also be directed to the Bowel Cancer UK's website by using the QR code on the toilet roll packaging.

Just days before Deborah was made a dame earlier this year, the 40 year old raised over £6 million to find a cure for cancer.

Receiving her end of life care, she recently revealed that she told her brother Ben to go on holiday to the United States.

She told The Sun: "He’s off on holiday to the US tomorrow. I have told him they have to go, they’ve planned the trip for ages. I also told him he must not come back, under any circumstances."

"He says he’ll come home. It’ll be horrible saying goodbye to him. I can’t really think about it right now."

Deborah's brother Ben recently got engaged to his fiancée Ashley after 11 years together.
