Despite being on a reality show, “Real Housewives of Dallas” star D’Andra Simmons admits she likes to prep her scenes ahead of time.
“I kind of look at everything that’s happening week by week and I will make my own notes about what points I want to get across,” she told Page Six.
The 51-year-old added, “It’s really important if you’re not prepared when you’re going into doing a scene and you forget something and … you can’t go back.”
And while her preparedness is positive in some ways, the Ultimate Living CEO joked that producers think she’s weird because she will give them her notes and ask them to make sure she gets through her points.
“It’s a catch-22,” the “RHOD” star continued. “They like the fact I’m prepared. On the other hand, then do you take out the spontaneity of what’s going to happen? I always have to remember that just because I want this to happen, I want to get this point across, it may not be where it’s going to go. The scene may not go that way.”
Simmons, who has been meeting with a shaman to help her work through control issues, admits she’s a “control outcome girl.”
“I like to know what the end result is going to be and you can’t do that with life,” she told us. “And I don’t like that about life, but I have to let go and let things happen.”
“The Real Housewives of Dallas” airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
