If you’ve been thinking about picking up the energy-saving Nest Thermostat, now’s a great time to add to cart. The best-selling smart home thermostat is on sale right now, with Amazon offering the basic Nest Thermostat E for just $149 and the Nest Learning Thermostat for just $213 (prices as of this writing).

The Nest Learning Thermostat is the better deal of the two, with the current Amazon price saving you $36 off its regular price of $249. This is the lowest price we’ve seen for this model so far this year.

The Nest Learning Thermostat the first smart thermostat to get ENERGY STAR-certified for efficiency and environmental impact and it super easy to use right out of the box. Coinciding with Earth Day’s 50th anniversary last year, Google says Nest Thermostat owners have saved more than 50 billion kilowatt hours of energy since the device was first introduced.

As the name suggests, the thermostat quickly learns the settings you like and adjusts the temperature in the room accordingly to not waste energy (I.e. it’ll automatically stop blasting the AC when it’s already super cold inside). The smart thermostat will also turn down the heat or AC when no one’s home, to help you save on energy bills.

Nest says people have saved an average of 10 to 12 percent on heating bills and more than 15 percent on cooling bills from using the thermostat; the device basically pays for itself in less than two years.

Everything can be programmed and controlled from an app on your phone. When you’re about to come home and need the AC turned on again, just swipe on the app and the Nest will respond. The Nest Learning Thermostat has a 4.5-star (out of five) rating from almost 28,000 reviews.

The more basic Nest Thermostat E won’t have as many automatic features as the Nest Learning Thermostat, but you can still control it from your phone to adjust temperature settings when you’re out of the house or in another room. The current price of $149 saves you $20 off the Nest Thermostat E’s regular price of $169. This one has a 4.6-star rating from 4000 reviewers online.
