Does Sally die in Coronation Street as Geoff traps her?
Following her discovery of Geoff Metcalfe’s (Ian Bartholomew) secret cameras, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) finally has indisputable evidence of his abusive behaviour towards Yasmeen (Shelley King).
She will decide to take drastic action, telling Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill) about the CCTV who advises her to take Geoff’s laptop, where the footage will be stored
After obtaining keys from Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) under the guise of wanting to get a book for Yasmeen, Sally will head to the house and slip Geoff’s laptop into her bag so she can use it as evidence.
But her plan is somewhat derailed when Geoff comes home, just in time to catch her in the act.
Will he realise what she’s doing – and if so, what lengths could he go to in order to silence her?
Does Sally die in Coronation Street?
It’s not clear whether or not Geoff will discover Sally’s true motive for being in his house and how far he will go to defend himself, but actress Sally has given no indication she plans to leave the soap.
What is clear, however, is that an aggressive confrontation will ensue between the pair leaving Sally worried about her safety and the police taking Geoff in for questioning.
Actress Sally said she hopes her character will help her husband Tim (Joe Duttine) see his father’s true nature and that the couple will ‘be stronger for it.’
She said: ‘I think he’s still trying to get his head around the fact that his mum is still alive and his father is an abuser but of course that’s not easy. Sally is taking very gentle steps with him at this point because it’s so massive for him.
‘I think this will make them even stronger. Tim always thought that his dad was the one constant in his life so if he finds out that he’s not, I’m hoping Sally will be there for him and they’ll come out of this even stronger.
‘They’ve been through thick and thin together and this will really prove that they can get through anything and they want to be together. They really love each other so hopefully without Geoff around they can get on with their relationship and move forward with their lives.’
But with his former partner Elaine (Paula Wilcox) still MIA, it’s clear Geoff is prepared to go to drastic measures to defend himself.
Could he claim another victim in Sally? Time will tell.
