Peter Andre’s daughter Princess voiced her concerns for her dad on Instagram yesterday. The singer, 48, told the 14-year-old he didn’t know what to do as he was due to appear on stage for Grease.

Peter explained that he was feeling “sick” and said it’s the “most ill he’s been in three years”.

The performer insisted it was not coronavirus after his daughter urged him to get a PCR test.

The Mysterious Girl chart-topper was due to appear in Grease the musical at the Opera House Manchester last night.

During the Instagram live, Peter, who has already battled coronavirus, could be heard coughing and spluttering.

He explained: “I’m supposed to be going to Manchester to do Grease but I’m so sick, I don’t know what to do… I’m so sick.”

Princess commented: “How are you meant to do it like that? You’re going to be coughing.”

The Vince Fontaine actor replied: “But people have bought tickets. I know… I’m pretty bad.”

“I don’t think you should go, if you are up there singing and coughing, people are going to be like…,” Princess replied.

“Just don’t go. Everyone is saying rest.”

Peter said he believed that he may have the flu and commented that his body is “aching” everywhere.

The singer revealed he did a lateral flow test the night before and would do another one.

When quizzed by his daughter if this was the “worst” he felt, Peter confirmed he didn’t feel great.

He remarked: “I haven’t felt like this for two or three years.

“I had Covid, but that was a different kind of feel, but that was horrible.”

Pete tested positive for Covid back in January after feeling unwell for a few days.

Princess continued to urge her dad to rest as Peter continued to cough in the video.

He later decided to take advice from his road manager Carl Machin, who told him: “I know what you’re saying and I applaud you for it but one you look ill, two you sound awful and three you have to sing live vocals.

“And also you’re going to be close to cast members, you’ve got to think how you’d feel if you gave two or three cast members what you’ve got and they have to have time off.”

Princess then urged her dad to get a PCR test, despite the fact that he’s been double vaccinated and had Covid-19 earlier this year.

Peter then insisted he was “feeling fine”.
