Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Cain death twist after new trailer sees horrific car crash

Emmerdale fans have been left fearing that Cain Dingle could die during the ITV soap's special flash forward week of episodes, beginning on Monday 9 May.

The hit ITV soap has released an explosive new trailer where it sees someone trapped in a muddy grave and a horrific car crash where "terror unfolds in The Dales".

In one part, Cain is seen saying to a mystery person: "I don't care about any part of your sad life", he adds in a later scene while warning nemesis Al Chapman: "This is over!"

Soap watchers were quick to fear and predict that Cain could die as they took to social media to question who is inside the car during the dramatic trailer.

Taking to Twitter, one person asked: "Who is in that car?" to which a different account replied: "Looks like Cain…"

With another concerned follower pointing out: "Oh my goodness it’s CAIN I CHECKED THE HAIR ITS THE SAME."

A different viewer warned: "You best not kill Cain!!"

While another soap fan added: "Cain Dingle might die in Emmerdale" followed with shocked emojis.

Elsewhere during the trailer, it sees Cain's mother Faith Dingle throw a dumbbell through Dan Spencer's front door as she yells: "Special delivery!"

While Gabby Thomas is seen looking terrified in Thomas' nursery as she fears her ex Jamie Tate is nearby, she says: "Jamie is back and he's out there, I know he is!"

It comes after Emmerdale released an explosive first look at the ITV soap's special flash forward episodes last week.

In the spoiler pictures it sees Cain, whose feud with Al reaches new levels, look menacingly in his car mirror.

While Noah Dingle, whose obsession with ex Chloe Harris will "reach a crescendo", is seen stalking her on his laptop on various different cameras.

With Gabby, who is "pushed to the limit" at Home Farm, terrified as she sees a hooded figure on a security camera as she fears "dead" Jamie is back.

The ITV soap teased: "As the week commences, in the gloom we see a misty graveyard with an open grave.

"The slamming of an iron police cell door and the sound of a gunshot rings out in the woods before we see a crumpled car steaming in the gloom having just had a terrible accident… but whose bodies are in the wreck and what does it all mean?

"The war between Cain Dingle, played by Jeff Hordley, and adversary Al Chapman, played by Michael Wildman, seems to show no signs of abating, but could this special week be the culmination of their mutual loathing?

"Noah (Jack Downham) has escalated his obsession with Chloe (Jessie Elland). Noah is tracking her phone and is currently enjoying spying on oblivious Chloe with his hightech drone.

"How will Chloe and her loyal friends react when Noah’s behaviour is exposed? Could Noah’s behaviour be the catalyst to spiral this week into a disaster?

"Gabby (Rosie Bentham) is home alone up at Home Farm and worried Jamie Tate is back from the "dead" and looming large. When things start going bump in the night for Gabby could she find herself in a perilous situation?"
