Harry shouted who do you think you are to William over Meghan, claims book

A new book titled Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry, and Meghan allegedly sees author Christopher Andersen speak to new palace sources about the reported rift between the royal brothers.

According to Page Six, Prince Harry, 37, was left upset after his brother William, 39, raised concerns over "rushing things" with his now-wife Meghan Markle, 40, back in 2017.

The publication wrote: "Prince Harry was so incensed when his older brother, Prince William, questioned his fast-moving romance with Meghan Markle that he blurted out, “Who the hell do you think you are?”

"The alleged outburst in September 2017 happened when Harry indicated that he was about to propose to his American girlfriend, prompting William to ask, “Why rush things?”"

Page Six continued to report: “One of the skeptics was his uncle, Earl Spencer—the brother of the late Princess Diana—whom William drafted to underscore his opinion that the lovebirds should slow down."

Author Andersen reportedly wrote that the this made "matters far worse" as Harry was "furious that his brother was actively seeking to have others interfere in his personal affairs.”

OK! has approached Prince Harry and Prince William's representatives for further comment.

While Prince Harry and William are reported to be on the outs, it's not the only relationship that has suffered over the last few years.

After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be stepping down from senior working roles in January 2020, Prince Charles and Prince Harry’s relationship has been strained, too.

During a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March this year, Prince Harry claimed that his father, 73, had stopped taking his calls and that he had cut him off financially.

Given that Harry is set to publish an “intimate and heartfelt” memoir about his life experiences “in the public eye from childhood to the present day”, it is alleged that concerns have arisen about what the impact the book may have on the heir apparent.

According to royal expert Richard Kay, there are anxieties that the book, which is to be released in late 2022, will “chip away” at the future king’s reputation and the efforts that have been made to try and win the public over in recent years.

Appearing on podcast Palace Confidential, Kay explained: “I think the difficulty for Prince Charles, every time now Harry opens his mouth, he's seen to chip away at his father's credibility.

“And this must be undermining their relationship."
