This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby struggled to compose herself as she and Phillip Schofield hosted a segment on homemade dog food during Thursday's show.

The pair were given different homemade dishes that people at home could give to their dogs, but Holly was left very uncomfortable with what was in front of her.

Holly was seen turning away from the food and appeared to be on the verge of being sick, as Phillip noticed that she was struggling to hold herself together.

Asking if she had the symptoms of being sick, he quickly dashed off air to find her mask for her.

He probed: "Have you got that watery feeling in your mouth before you puke?" as Holly quickly replied: "Yep, yep, yep."

Holly was seen gulping as she told viewers: "Best of luck for me for this next item."

Her co-star looked very concerned as he placed his hand over his mouth as Holly bravely carried on with the rest of the segment.

Holly then placed a napkin on her lap in case she needed to cover her face, while Phillip quickly told her to close her eyes so she couldn't see what she was putting in her mouth.

He then turned around and asked the crew for a mask, saying: "I'm not sitting here as you're sick all over the table. What sort of day out is that?"

Holly replied: "I don't know why it had to be in a dog bowl, it makes me feel funny."

Luckily, she managed to make a swift recovery as they persevered through the dog food tasting, before swiftly moving on with the rest of the show.

The pair then came under fire as they sat with chef Phil Vickery to listen to his tips and tricks for innovative oat snacks.

As Phil showed them snacks such as savoury flapjack, blended oats with grated carrot, and banana bread, Phillip didn't hesitate in sharing his brutal opinions.

Viewers were stunned as Phillip joked that he preferred the dog food to what Phil had come up before, and compared his concoctions to a pond experiment.

Luckily, Phil took the critique on the chin as he laughed off the comments, with Phillip reminding the chef that he had to be honest about what he thought.

He added: "When I tell you that I love something, you know I mean it."

This Morning continues tomorrow at 10am on ITV.
