Holly Willoughby shut down by Josie Gibson for pointing out wardrobe malfunction

Holly Willoughby was been shut down by Josie Gibson after pointing our her very obvious wardrobe malfunction.

The former Big Brother winner appeared on This Morning today for a segment all about ghost hunting.

Dressed in the iconic Ghostbusters outfit, the star jumped out from behind a tree as she let viewers know what she’d be getting up to.

But, as she landed in front of the camera, it was very hard not to see that her pants were split right up the front.

‘Josie, I mean it’s quite exciting isn’t it? You’re very brave that’s for sure,’ Holly joked before mentioning her faux-pas.

‘Urm, now I’m just going to ask you this, just for an outfit point of view. You’ve got a little split there, was that supposed to happen? Is that some overzealous ghostbusting maybe?’ Holly quizzed.

But, not letting the host have a laugh at her expense, Josie replied very diplomatically and said: ‘Well what happened, I was filling up the car in the petrol station and I had a little accident, and it was a bit tight.’

She shut down Holly even further, by adding: ‘But we’re not going to concentrate on my split for today, we’re going to concentrate on this ghost hunting because we’re going to track down this ghoul.’

Holly glanced at her presenting buddy Phillip Schofield before telling Josie: ‘I agree.’

Trying to move the conversation on, Phil grimaced: ‘Hold on, you filled up the car dressed like that?’

Josie just smiled down the camera without saying a word, as Phil continued: ‘This is the most bizarre start to a show, we’ll leave it at that.’

Holly added: ‘Josie we will see you in a bit – keep ghost busting.’

Fans were quick to comment on the moment and noted how awkward it was over on Twitter.

‘This is well awkward. I love Josie,’ one wrote while another said: ‘How cringe is this with josie and the whole ghost buster thing.’

Others, however, threw their support behind Josie, adding: ‘Hahhaahahhaha josie you sum up us Bristolians! Never take life too seriously! What a legend.’

This Morning continues weekdays at 10am on ITV.
