I’m A Celeb’s Ant and Dec mock Boris Johnson with cheeky ‘forgive me’ joke

Ant and Dec mocked Prime Minister Boris Johnson in last night's episode of I'm A Celebrity….Get Me Out of Here with a cheeky "forgive me" joke.

The ITV legends were doing a link between scenes on the hit show when Declan Donnelly started fumbling with his notes for the show.

He was quick to poke fun of Boris saying "forgive me" several times while fiddling with his papers.

The reference followed after the Prime Minister was seen fumbling about with his speech as he spoke to business leaders at the CMI conference.

While speaking, Boris lost his place for 20 seconds where he muttered "forgive me" and "blast it," before randomly asking the leaders why they hadn't visited Peppa Pig World.

Peppa Pig World is approximately 330 miles away from South Shields where the meeting took place.

Fans were quick to comment on social media following the hilarious scene.

One said: "Hahhaha Ant and Dec mocking Boris’ faux pas from today ' forgive me, forgive me’. Perfection."

Another wrote: "Ant and Dec so quick on Forgive me from Boris earlier #ImACeleb."

A third said: "#ImACeleb Dec is so funny lol err forgive me."

"Dec proper ripping into #BorisJohnson, please forgive me. Brilliant. #ImACeleb #Forgiveme," said a fourth followed by multiple laughing face emojis.

Ant McPartlin set Dec's joke up by saying: "Well that cake went down well didn't it? And the way Richard described it – my tastebuds are joining into a harmonious chorus of joy," before Dec quickly added: "It was pure poetry."

"It was a symphony of sugary sensation. It was a culinary confection beyond your wildest dreams."

"It was a waltz through a galaxy of formidable flavours," he added.

Ant asked: "Where do we get it?"

Checking his notes franticly explaining how he wrote it down somewhere and asking to be forgiven, Dec said: "We got it in Poundland in Rhyl."
