As she last left Albert Square in 2014, Janine boarded a train to Paris after being forced to leave Walford behind when she was found not guilty for husband Michael Moon's murder.

Janine has always kept viewers biting their nails, with one famous storyline seeing her push husband Barry Evans off a cliff, leaving him to die as he cried for help.

So what has actress Charlie been up to since her famous role? Let’s take a look…

Charlie Brooks' career

Charlie was crowned winner of I’m A Celebrity in 2012, beating Pussycat Doll singer Ashley Roberts to the crown.

Charlie continued to act after leaving her EastEnders role, and she starred as Tanya Moxton in Channel 5 series Suspects and popped up as Tamora in Alex Oates' play All in a Row in 2019.

In 2015 she played Stephanie Brantson in British children's television drama series The Dumping Ground, and she also portrayed the character of Tina in TV series Moving On.

She has also appeared in pantomime and, more recently, as Rachel in FOG which was released in October of last year.

She was also reported to have launched a line of sex toys.

"Charlie feels there’s a real gap in the market for some sexy yet affordable toys," a source revealed to The Sun in 2020.

"She’s signed a deal and is really excited to branch out into a whole new area."

Is Charlie Brooks married?

Charlie is in a relationship with architect Ben Hollington, and they’ve been together since 2012.

The star is a mum to Kiki, 16, who she shares with her ex Tony Truman.

And there’s no doubt she’s a proud parent, with the 39 year old describing herself as “Mamma” in her Instagram bio.

Charlie tends to keep her private life away from the spotlight, but we do see the occasional peek at her beautiful daughter from time to time.

In a recent old home video shared by the star we see Kiki dancing around her bedroom, and the doting mum said her baby was growing up so fast.

The caption read: “Kiki. Super girl.

"Sometimes I get this video out because it makes me very happy. Sometimes it makes me cry. That little person is very nearly all grown up, and I miss my baby, but coming through the other side of teenage years,(thank f**k), and they can be tough, and interesting and terrifying and unpredictable, I have a young woman who brings me ALL the joy.

"I am so proud of you @kikitruman . I want you around me all the time, I always want to hear your thoughts, and dreams and fears, and I am so happy to be holding your hand through life. I got you baby. I think you rock."

Kiki seems to be taking a leaf out of her mum’s book and following in her acting footsteps.

The youngster has TV credits on IMDB, including The Dumping Ground and The Kennedys.

The sweet mum and daughter duo also recreated one of Charlie’s iconic EastEnders scenes in an amazing TikTok video, which was a big hit.

In the clip, they recreate the scene where Janine murdered her husband Barry Evans, with Kiki playing famous character Barry.
