Inside Kate Middleton and Prince William’s night time routine including ‘romantic gesture’

The Duchess of Cambridge has opened up about her pre-bed ritual.

Kate Middleton, who will celebrate her 40th birthday on the 9 January, shares a nighttime ritual with Her Majesty.

With the Queen recently giving up her long nighttime custom of having a dry martini, it has been revealed that the Duchess likes to indulge in a late-night drink to unwind herself.

The charity advocate enjoys a gin and tonic in the evening, brought to her by her husband, Prince William, 39.

Talking to People, a royal family friend said: "William will bring Kate a gin and tonic.

"They look after each other, but in different ways."

Alongside their royal duties, they have to juggle parenting their three children Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3.

Needing a little tipple to unwind will come in handy lately after Kate has been rather busy as the year begins to wrap up.

She has had festive hosting duties at Westminster Abbey's special Christmas carol service, where the Duke supported her.

The Christmas carol concert took place at Westminster Abbey, where the royal duo married ten years ago, on Wednesday December.

She hosted the event with the support of The Royal Foundation.

The Royal Carols: Together At Christmas community carol service paid tribute to individuals and organisations from across the U.K. who had gone above and beyond and championed their communities through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Royal festivities will not be in their usual full swing this year as, Her Majesty has reportedly 'cancelled' her annual pre-Christmas lunch for the Royal family as Omicron cases continue to grow in the UK.

This sadly will be the Monarch's first Christmas without her husband Prince Philip.

While keeping up some yuletide traditions, William and Kate recently shared their family Christmas card.

Taking to social media to share with her 13.2million Instagram followers, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted their festive family group shot with the caption: "Delighted to share a new image of the family, which features on this year’s Christmas card."

Fans of the family were quick to comment on the post with one loyal follower saying: "Beyond precious! So much love and joy in this picture. Thank you for sharing it with us all."

"Oh how fabulous! Love that and also love to see you all as a family together. Keep up with all your amazing work and showing how it should be done," another added.
