ITV The Chase fans confused as ‘glamorous’ jet pilot tries to win money on show
The Chase returned to our screens on Thursday for the latest instalment of the ITV quiz show.
Host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants to the show today for the fourth episode of the week.
The cheeky presenter was eager to see them get through to the final with some money in-hand.
Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan was in the hot seat trying to prevent the hopefuls from going home with the cash prize.
Eve, Pin, Amanda and Dave all took it in turns to take on the cash builder and later went head-to-head with The Vixen in an intense round of general knowledge questions.
Before the game began, the contestants introduced themselves and shared their name, age and occupation.
ITV viewers were floored as contestant Dave revealed that he was a jet pilot.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Jet pilot. Oooh glamorous."
Another added: "A jet pilot? Pull the other one mate."
A third viewer joked: "Not just a pilot. A jet pilot."
"It always seems a bit odd, that someone with a job like a fully trained private jet pilot, who must be on an absolute shedload, wants to win more on The Chase," a fourth viewer wrote.
Dave correctly answered seven questions in his cash builder round earning an impressive £7,000.
Despite being offered a higher and lower offer by The Vixen ahead of the head-to-head round, the contestant decided to keep his £7,000.
After a round of general knowledge questions, Dave made it through to the third and final round without being caught by The Vixen.
Host Bradley, 60, congratulated Dave on getting through and Jenny even said that the contestant was a good player.
Contestant number two Amanda made it home safe and dry with £5,000, giving the prize fund a boost to £12,000.
Pin was up next and decided to go for the high offer and played against The Vixen for a whooping £45,000.
His risky unfortunately decision didn't pay off as he was caught and ended up going home empty-handed.
Eve was the final contestant to play The Chase made it through to the final chase with £2,000, making the team's total prize fund £14,000.
