I've been consumed by grief after losing three close family members
DEAR DEIDRE: AFTER the death of three close family members, will life ever have meaning again?
I am consumed by grief and find it hard to talk about.

I’m a man of 32. My stepmum died early this year. We were close.
Then my brother called last week to let me know our cousin, who was just 38, had died. He left behind a wife and a two-year-old son.
Five years ago, my sister took her own life. Her death was such a shock. Nobody saw it coming.
Some days I feel like I can’t cope and don’t want to go on.
DEIDRE SAYS: The way you describe feeling now is normal for someone who has lost family members they were close to.
Gradually you will be able to appreciate the positives of having them in your life and you will feel less overwhelmed by the pain.
It sounds as though there are wounds from your sister’s suicide that have not healed. My support pack Coping With Bereavement explains more. Talking it through with Cruse Bereavement Care will help (cruse.org.uk, 0808 808 1677).
