Jasmine Harman, 44, spoke of an incident that occurred while visiting a house in Italy during filming for A Place On The Sun, that resulted in a near clash with a member of the public. The property expert revealed that in one house, the property owner seemingly refused to keep quiet and “kept crashing around” as they shot scenes for the show.
We were moaning about her
Jasmine exclusively told Express.co.uk “The old lady that owned the house, we asked her if she could keep out of the room we were filming in, and just keep quiet.
“So we didn’t hear her on the camera, and we were upstairs, and we could just hear her crashing around, making a right old racket!”
The crew then had to ask the homeowner if she could keep the volume down as they attempted to record the show.
The property presenter explained: “We kept having to say, ‘Oh we are so sorry, could you just keep it a little bit quieter because we keep hearing all this crashing around?’.”
They soon discovered that the lady was preparing a special Italian lunch for them to enjoy after a long day of filming.
She continued: “Anyway it turned out when we had finished and came downstairs, she had been making lunch for us, she said, ‘Well I couldn’t let you in my house without feeding you!’
“And you know we were moaning about her making lunch – I really love Italy.”
The next season of A Place In The Sun has begun shooting, with Jasmine on location this week.
Production on the show was halted following the coronavirus pandemic lockdown that began in March.
Jasmine previopusly divulged: ”We’ve got a new series starting of programmes we have already filmed.
“I will be going back to film in any luck towards the end of this month/beginning of August.”
However, the new 14-day quarantine period for UK residents returning from Spain has caused major problems for one of Jasmine’s co-hosts.
Last weekend Laura Hamilton revealed she had made it out to Marbella just as the new restrictions came in.
However, Jasmine does not expect the recent changes to affect the property market, as she spoke on the increased demand from buyers seeking a second home.
She said many Britons were looking to buy abroad and said she has been “inundated” with enquiries ahead of the new series.
She revealed: “We have been inundated with people who just can’t wait to do this (buy foreign property).”
