Jennifer Aniston is now a GREAT AUNT as her niece Eilish Melick, 24, and husband Sean welcome baby boy
JENNIFER Aniston has become a great-aunt, The Sun can exclusively reveal.
The Friends superstar’s niece Eilish Melick, 24, and her husband Sean Nebbia, 26, have welcomed a baby boy.
Eilish – known to her friends and family as Eilie – announced last week the happy news that her son had been born on July 9.
The proud new mom later posted a pic of the cute newborn sleeping with the caption “Look @ my chunk.”
And asked how the first few days had been treating her, she replied: “So. Tired.”
She has not yet revealed what name, if any, her and Sean have chosen for the boy.
It comes after The Sun exclusively revealed in April that Eilish was expecting a baby.
Eilish is daughter to Jennifer’s older half-brother, Hollywood assistant film director John Melick III.
Jennifer, 52, and John, 61, had different fathers but were both born to their late mother Nancy Dow, who died at the age of 79 in Los Angeles in May 2016.
It is not clear how close Eilish is to her A-list aunt, as they are believed to have been on opposing sides of a family feud over Nancy’s estate which saw Jennifer written out of her will.
Jennifer is also aunt to her younger paternal half-brother Alex Aniston’s son Ryan and daughter Kira, and Eilish’s little brother John Melick IV.
Eilish and Sean, who are thought to be currently living in Pensacola, Florida, got married in March 2019 and have both served as Hospital Corpsmen in the US Navy.
Before moving away from her hometown of Los Angeles, Eilish followed in her famous aunt’s footsteps with several minor acting roles in TV movies, her IMDB profile shows.
Sean is currently a student at the Florida School of Ultrasound, according to his Facebook profile.
The couple first announced their pregnancy to the wider world in December last year.
Despite being married twice to movie hunks Brad Pitt – who she divorced in 2005 – and Justin Theroux – who she split with in 2017 – Jennifer has famously never had children of her own.
Speaking in July 2016, while she was still married to Justin, she said: "We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies.
“That decision is ours and ours alone. Let's make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples.
"We don't need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own 'happily ever after' for ourselves.
"Yes, I may become a mother some day, and since I'm laying it all out there, if I ever do, I will be the first to let you know.
“But I'm not in pursuit of motherhood because I feel incomplete in some way, as our celebrity news culture would lead us all to believe.”
