Katy Perry thrills in sheer gown slashed to waist at posh Prince Charles bash

Katy Perry made sure all eyes were on her tonight as she arrived at the British Asian Trust dinner in London.

The pop icon, who is engaged to Lord Of The Rings actor Orlando Bloom, was at the bash after being announced as an official ambassador of the Prince Charles charity.

Looking every inch a superstar, Katy, 35, oozed sex appeal in a figure-hugging blue gown.

Shrink-wrapping her curves, the Harleys In Hawaii songstress sent temperatures soaring as she proudly posed for cameras.

Flashing the flesh, Katy's gown featured a plunging neckline and sheer front.

Keen not to cheapen her look, the chart-topper made sure her modesty was firmly intact.

Katy completed her look by wearing her long blonde locks in a high-top bun.

Speaking at the bash, Katy joked with Prince Charles that she's happy to sing to his plants to help them grow.

Katy said: "I’m excited to be here because I’m a big fan of his royal highness and all the work that he has done and is continuing to do, especially in India for children.

“In my own personal experience, he has an incredibly kind soul.

“So kind, that yes, sometimes he talks to his plants.

“And he asked me if I could sing to his plants.

“And I will, in the future, you have my word, sir.”

Enjoying the banter, the first in line to the throne let slip that Katy had wanted to give a more suggestive speech.

His Royal Highness said: "I’m enormously grateful to Katy Perry for such a kind introduction, which she told me just now that she wanted to make it slightly more spicy, but I think she resisted the temptation.

“But I must say it was a great pleasure to have met her in Mumbai last November at a gathering for British Asian Trust council members on the day before my birthday.

“Meeting her turned out to be a wonderful birthday present."
