Lauren Goodger is hooked up to a drip in 'dark' hospital throwback as she tells fans they're 'never alone'

LAUREN Goodger has opened up on her emotional Christmas last year telling her fans she's been through "a hell of a lot".

The 34-year-old was rushed to hospital last year saying at the time she had been going "through a lot of stress".

But now the former Towie star has opened up more about that "dark" time in her life in a bid to help her fans with their mental health.

Lauren took to her Instagram stories to first shared some information about anxiety before sharing a picture of her from behind sitting in a wheelchair at hospital.

"If you're feeling any mental health symptoms… I just want you to know it's ok and normal, don't feel alone," she captioned the shocking photo.

She revealed the photo was from Boxing Day last year, when her anxiety hit her "real bad".

Lauren also posted the selfie she shared last year during her hospital stay which showed her covered in medical tubes.

She then wrote a lengthy message to her fans alongside a photo of herself with a drip coming out of her arm.

"I've been through so much in my life and I am looking back on this year and I still deal with a hell of a lot behind closed doors but I want you to know never be alone, things can change a, dark place is never dark forever," Lauren wrote.

"I seek professional help now (haven't had a session in a while due to lockdowns and lockdown is very hard, my mind runs away with itself)."

She added: "Yes I am happy and in love but it doesn't stop anxiety and worry.

"Let's see the end of 2020 and 2021 together a stronger one."

Lauren also revealed she found some notes on her phone she'd written to herself during her time of crisis last year but was not sure about posting them because they were "very personal and quite sad".

She assured fans she was doing Ok because she had her "dinosaur" – boyfriend Charles Drury – with her.

"Don't ask why I call him that," she added on a photo of the pair.

This year has also been challenging for Lauren who could not spend Christmas with her family due to coronavirus restrictions.

She told The Sun's Fabulous magazine: "I was meant to be going out to a restaurant called Melin in Chigwell on Christmas Day. I’d booked a table for family and friends. Then we got hit with Tier 4, so we’re going to keep it small.

"On Christmas Eve, I was hoping to see my mum and sisters but we can’t because of the restrictions. It’s really sad.

"We still don’t know if we’ll be able to see Charlie’s family."

Reality TV star Lauren moved in with Katie Price's ex in October after a whirlwind romance of just three weeks of dating.
