Lorraine Kelly fans in hysterics as she refuses to do ‘weird’ vaginal steaming

Lorraine Kelly stirred a strong reaction from fans on Monday morning when she hosted a conversation about vaginal cleansing in the closing moments of the show.

The broadcaster, 61, was joined by a showbiz expert Jess on the show, for a frank discussion about the art of vaginal steaming, weighing up its health benefits.

In their latest Red Table Talk episode, Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris could be seen participating in the ritual, each wearing matching purple silk gowns.

Each woman can be seen lowered on a bowl of steam, with the practice – favoured by Gloop boss Gwyneth Paltrow – intended to cleanse your uterus.

"What sensation are you guys getting sitting here?" Jada could be heard asking her daughter and mum.

"Definitely a lot of warmth," Willow replied, only for her mum to agree: "Yeah. This is real queen throne action right here. This is what I love."

Lorraine watched footage of the vaginal cleansing on Monday's show, with the Scottish presenter providing a hilarious stream of commentary throughout.

"Jada Pinkett Smith – She has been getting steamy with her daughter and her mum. I’m not quite sure about this," Lorraine mused.

Trying to sell the segment, showbiz whizz Jess remarked: "The three ladies tried out the benefits of vaginal steaming which we see kind of pop up every few years with celebrities."

Scepticism won over and Lorraine wasn't convinced, as she pointed out it isn't "necessary" for women to steam their vaginas for health reasons.

"They look like Greek goddesses. Now Jess I know you’re a stranger to the noony but they don’t need that it’s not necessary," she said.

"Listen I always say if it works for you, go for it. If it’s your thing, do it," Jess offered, only for Lorraine to reply: "No thank you! I think it would be very strange and weird."

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers were bemused by the concept of vaginal cleansing, with many pulling the alleged health benefits into question.

One wrote: "Vaginal steaming … stranger to the noony …. Lorraine is on one #Lorraine."

"Vaginal streaming? That's not going to be healthy! The vagina is self cleaning ffs!" added a second.

While a third penned: "Vaginal steaming ? Stop the world I want to get off #lorraine."

Lorraine airs on weekdays at 9am on ITV.
