Mr Theroux said: “Melania is the way into Donald Trump.
“It is a bit like when I did Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee, the magician and Debbie his wife.
“Debbie felt more approachable and I wonder if it is the same where Donald Trump is a bit like Paul Daniels.
“There are so many similarities between the two of them in a way.

Donald Trump is currently leading the Republican Party into the 2020 US Presidential election.
The election is set for November and President Trump will go head to head with Democrat nominee Joe Biden.
Earlier this month, a US political commentator told Express.co.uk that he expects the 2020 US election will be much closer than Donald Trump’s previous victory in 2016.
Jadan Horyn stated that the Democrats’ decision to double down on cancel culture and left-wing progressive socialism will not work in states central to the outcome of the Presidential election.
Mr Horyn said: “I think we will come very close to a repeat of 2016.
“Looking at the background and polls compared with this time last election, in the same states that he won, the battle ground states he is down 4.2 percent vs 4.9 percent back then.
“The end result ended up being a hidden Trump vote in favour by roughly 5 percent in key states like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

“I personally think that it will be much closer this time round.”
He added: “I do not believe that the Democrats doubling down on cancel culture and left progressive socialism will work in states that haven’t seen economic growth or progress from the neo-liberalism of the last 25 years.
“I still don’t see the Democratic party understanding that those states are central.
“They have put a figure in like Biden who they think looks like them those people, but their messaging has nothing to do with that.
“I think that gives a real opportunity to the President to just squeak it out.”
