Love Island star Amy Day has revealed that she is “fuming” after learning that she has tested positive for Covid-19, just two weeks after leaving the villa.

The Surrey actress has been forced back into isolation after testing positive and asked her Instagram fans for tips on how to get over the boredom that quarantine brings.

Speaking in a video, she said: "Hi guys, I thought I'd quickly jump on here and address any questions on am I feeling better, do I have Covid? Yes I've just had a positive result for Covid.

"I'm fuming, but yes if anyone has any remedies or things to keep myself busy with during isolation, send those through.

"They'll be much appreciated. Obviously, I'll still be posting and I'll be on my phone so I can't complain, but I'll see you on the other side guys. Love you lots!"

Amy had entered the public eye as she appeared on the current season of Love Island as a Casa Amor bombshell.

While in Casa Amor, Amy paired up with Hugo Hammond, who decided to recouple with her when returning to the main villa.

While the pair got along throughout their Casa trip, things began to fall apart between them in the main villa, with the final nail in the coffin coming after they were dumped from the island together and Hugo said his love life on the show was “tragic” in his exit interview with her.

The pair’s quick spiral downward after the show was further highlighted as Amy appeared on Love Island: After Sun.

While on the show, she said: "I'm cracking now to be out and away from Hugo really."

Hugo also appeared on the episode and attempted to defend himself in the interview, replying: "Amy's clearly got some opinion.

"But I think people are forgetting that Amy chose to stay in Tyler's bed on night one so she wasn't into me from the start and I felt like a green card to the villa."

Amy quickly fired back: "That is the first time you said that, how funny,"

Hugo again had a quick defence, saying: "I don't think it is because if the rest of that interview got played when we were sat down drinking that lovely apple juice then it would have been shown, wouldn't it?"

Amy branded Hugo as “fake” and shared that she thought the pair had something, but felt “friend-zoned” immediately after leaving the villa.
