Love Island’s Luca Bish appears in Channel 4 reality show shot before ITV2 fame

Love Island star Luca Bish made an appearance in another reality series prior to entering the villa.

The 23-year-old was spotted on last night's episode of Channel 4's Night Coppers which was filmed in his hometown of Brighton.

Last night's programme followed the police deal as they dealt with a group of boys dressed as Christmas elves who had landed themselves in a fight.

While Luca wasn't specifically involved, the fishmonger could be seen dressed in the same outfit as he walked around the seaside resort alongside a group of pals.

Shot in the streets of Brighton in the evening, the reality star could be seen laughing with some friends as the police car drove by.

Luca has found himself the topic of conversation over the last few weeks and more recently, found himself arguing with partner Gemma Owen.

The Mile High challenge enraged Luca after he was forced to watch the 19-year-old get up close and personal with the other male islanders, leading to a heated argument between the pair in which he told her to "f**k off".

The 23-year-old's reaction didn't sit well with the public, many of whom demanded he be kicked out for his behaviour.

One fumed: "They kicked Sheriff out for play fighting with Molly-Mae and saying c**t jokingly. Luca legit bullies, manipulates, gaslights and then pushes Gemma in this episode yet he is left in the villa to have the time of his life believing he’s made it? Nah. #Ofcom #Loveisland."

Another penned: "Luca’s behaviour is horrendous and the boy needs therapy/lesson in respect. Pull him in for a chat and make him watch himself against Tasha and Gemma. He needs to be kicked out. Why are we condoning his behaviour?"

Seeing the backlash, Luca's family issued a statement on Instagram following the episode, arguing the "intense environment" of Love Island has heightened his emotions.

They said: "9/10 weeks of not contact with family. It's a crazy intense environment where emotions are heightened.

"Learning to have disagreements and resolve them it is part of all successful relationships. Society preaches men not to bottle things up and to open up?

"So proud of how vulnerable and in touch with his emotions he's been. Nothing but real."
