Before the sixth and final season is upon us, Lucifer still needs to wrap up its latest battle between good and evil. Now the original Fox series has overcome coronavirus delays and will soon be returning to Netflix, the show has given away a hilarious moment between two unnamed characters on Twitter.

Loyal demon Mazikeen (played by Lesley-Ann Brandt) has been put through the ringer in the latest season of Lucifer.

After being rejected by her mother, Lilith (L. Scott Caldwell), the faithful companion to Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) joined forces with his devious twin brother Michael in the midseason finale.

‘Lucifans’ are now waiting with bated breath to discover whether Maze is able to find a soul of her own and return to the path of good in the second half of season five.

As production on the season finale was shut down amid the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, it is still unknown when the next eight episodes of Lucifer will surface.

Thankfully, the cast and crew have safely returned to work on the sixth and final instalment, so season five is expected to resume on Netflix soon.

However, there may still be a long wait ahead, and viewers have been desperate for spoilers and tidbits for how the series will continue.

Lucifer still has to find a way to banish his brother Michael after their brotherly bickering was swept aside by the unprecedented arrival of their father, God (Dennis Haysbert).

During the ongoing midseason hiatus, the show’s social media team have done an admirable job to keep the hype levels for the series’ return as high as possible.

Their most recent post on Twitter caused a stir when it cryptically revealed one of the first plot details from the upcoming slate we’ve seen so far.

They wrote: “Feeling devilish today. Might drop a 5B spoiler right about… now! **** plays the ultimate prank on ***”

Although the stakes have never been higher, the new spoiler confirmed the next series of Lucifer will absolutely retain its signature sense of humour.

Unfortunately, the names have been starred out, so fans are still unsure who pranks whom, and what bearing this will have on the upcoming narrative.

However, down in the comments, some ‘Lucifans’ have a pretty good idea who the tweet could be referring to.

One fan replied: “Thinking of Dan being in the knows it can only mean Maze plays the ultimate prank on Dan and teasing him that he slept with the Goddess of all Creation as she already did.”

In season five, Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro) finally discovers the truth about Lucifer when Michael manipulates him into catching a glimpse of his ‘Devil Face’.

Now ‘Detective Douche’ has learned the truth about celestials walking the earth, the Lucifer gang may need to have an uncomfortable conversation with him about his relationship with Charlotte Richards, aka Goddess (Tricia Helfer).

Additionally, some fans had other ideas, suggesting the show’s newest arrival could fall victim to Lucifer’s quirkiest colleague’s cheeky sense of humour.

Another suggested: “Ella plays the ultimate prank on God would be hilarious.”

As the tweet features a name with four stars, Maze or Ella (Aimee Garcia) seem like the best options, but will it be Dan or God who finds themself the butt of the joke?
