Man spends £10k for one night at The Savoy Hotel to propose to his girlfriend

A man spent £10,000 for one night at The Savoy Hotel just so he could propose to his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day – and of course, she said yes.

During tonight’s episode of ITV’s The Savoy, we got to witness the romantic moment Josh proposed to his girlfriend Sarah.

While the couple enjoyed an afternoon tea, the hotel staff were busy setting up a suite ready for the proposal, where they scattered rose petals and candles on the floor.

When they got to the suite, Josh got on to one knee and asked Sarah to marry him, and we are so glad she said yes.

Speaking to camera after the proposal Josh began: ‘Sarah has always wanted to get married here, it’s one of the most glamorous hotels in London.’

‘It’s a special place now whatever happens, this is going to hold a memory forever,’ Sarah added.

Taking to Twitter afterwards, viewers couldn’t believe how much it costs to stay at the luxury hotel for one night.

One viewer tweeted: ‘I can’t cope he’s booked a room for 10k per night to propose to his girlfriend… oh my god.’

While another said: ‘Are you telling me he’s paid £10k for one night in The Savoy …could live in Thailand for a year for that.’

One added: ‘£10k for a proposal.’
