Meghan Markles one-word response on her first ever meeting with Kate Middleton
It’s a nerve racking for anyone the first time you meet your new in-laws, but when the family you’re being introduced to is the Royal family, the prospect is even more daunting.
It was 2016 when Meghan first began started dating Prince Harry, after being introduced by a friend, Misha Nonoo. A whirlwind romance led to her soon meeting The Queen, Prince Charles, as well as Harry’s brother and sister in law, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
After Harry and Meghan's 2017, the loved up couple spoke to the BBC's Mishal Hussein, remembering Meghan's first meeting with the Duchess of Cambridge.
"William was longing to meet her and so was Catherine,” said Harry. “So you know, being our neighbours, we managed to get that in a couple of — well quite a few times now and Catherine has been absolutely…"
And Meghan with a one-word answer chipped in: "Wonderful."

She also praised Prince Harry's family for being so welcoming and meeting his grandmother, the Queen, who she described as an “incredible woman” who she had “incredible respect for”.
But since that engagement interview, Harry and Meghan and in a very different place – having got married, worked as royals and become parents to Archie, who turns three in May, and nine-month old Lillbet.
They’ve also since quit “the Firm” and are building new life away for themselves in the US.
Exactly a year ago today, the couple gave their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which Meghan was asked about Kate.
Prior to the chat, reports had implied that Meghan once reduced Kate to tears during a bridesmaid dress fitting ahead of her wedding to Harry.
But during the Oprah interview, Meghan insisted the opposite was actually true. She explained that Kate has given her flowers to apologise and that Kate was a “good person.”
Royal expert Katie Nicholl later commented that Kate Middleton had apparently found it 'mortifying' that allegations she made Megan cry over bridesmaids' dresses had re-emerged.
Katie noted how you 'never hear' about the Kate, 40, falling out with anyone because she is 'very careful with how she treats others.'
