Despite washing her hair repeatedly, Lily claims the stubborn dye would not budge and she was forced to shell out a further £180 to have her extensions professionally removed.

She said: ‘I wore the dress on my work night out and hand washed it like it said on the label and online. I noticed my nails and nude bag turning black throughout the night.

‘Then the next morning I took my hair down and noticed my hair was dyed black from the dress. The dress didn’t get wet on the night out at all.
