M&S shopper bags £165 worth of food for £34 by using yellow sticker hack
The temptation to stock up on lots of food before Christmas often ends up costing loads, but if you can wait a few days then you might be able to stock up your fridge for a lot less.
One bargain hunter has revealed she took a trip to her local Marks and Spencer at just the right time.
She was able to buy an array of tasty treats at a fraction of the price.
Taking to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, the savvy shopper posted pictures of her M&S haul and it's certainly impressive.
As well as some tasty puddings and expensive meats, she also bagged delicious-looking party food items and some fruit too.
She captioned the post: "M&S yellow sticker dash at 5.30pm. £165.61…… I paid £33.93. That's us fed well for 2 weeks."
Her local store had reduced a turkey breast joint from £16 to just £2.31, and gold delicate choux pastry balls from £12 to just £1.80.
Fellow group members were quick to comment on the post, with one person writing: "Great bargain well done!"
Another person commented: "Wow! That's awesome!" and a third added: "Well done excellent find."
Many people were keen to know if there are specific times that shops reduce items, with one person asking: "Is that every day at that time?"
The shopper confirmed that her local M&S does add yellow stickers at that time, but it won't be the same for every location.
Another woman took to the same Facebook group to show off her Boots and Superdrug haul after purchasing lots of beauty products in the sale.
The savvy shopper revealed: "My youngest daughters stocking is completed for next year, and I have gifts for my other two daughters friends on birthdays for the whole year plus donation to a woman's refuge.
"Very happy boots is all 50% off and Superdrug varies but most expensive item cost £4."
