Speaking about sitting on the panel, Nadia told how much she loved doing the show.

The mother-of-two said: “Loose Women was just amazing yesterday, for various reasons.”

The star went on to explain that her co-star Judi Love was finally making her return to the panel after being voted off Strictly Come Dancing alongside her dance partner, Graziano Di Prima.

Nadia went on: “First of all, Judi was back and I haven’t seen her since she started Strictly.

“We’re very close, Judi and I, and it was just so lovely to have her back.”

But Nadia also revealed that it was a marked occasion for another reason.

“And though it was very sad to have Jane McDonald with us, because she was talking about her husband, it was just so lovely to have her there,” she said.

Last month saw Jane take to the Loose Women panel to discuss the loss of her fiance Eddie.

The star, who was part of the panel on and off for a decade, was reunited with former co-stars Carol McGiffin and Kaye Adams as she sat down for a moving interview.

Paying a tearful tribute to her late fiance, Jane, 58, said: “I don’t want to feel sad for the rest of my life because that wasn’t Ed. Ed was golden, smiley, he was beautiful.

“Thirteen years of absolute bliss. That’s how I’m getting through it.

“I’m not thinking of the last six months because it was horrendous.”

“I’m thinking of how grateful I’ve been for such a wonderful…” she continued, before breaking off and becoming emotional.

Jane announced that Ed had died in March, revealing that he had “been battling lung cancer for the last few months”.

During her Loose Women interview, Jane revealed that she had nursed Ed through his final months, branding it a “privilege”.

Jane continued. “At first I thought, ‘How am I going to do that?’.

“But then you get a strength when you’re nursing your loved one and it really is a privilege.

“I changed all the dressings and cared for him and I nursed him and I’m glad I did,” she admitted.

After the Cruising star had announced the death of her fiance on Twitter in March, Nadia rushed to extend her sympathies to her friend.

Retweeting Jane’s heartbreaking announcement, Nadia wrote: “I’m so sorry for your loss Jane. So dreadfully sad. Sending my deepest condolences.”
