NCIS New Orleans has been renewed and the CBS is now working on the latest series. The drama will consist of a total of 16 episodes like original series NCIS. Thanks to the pandemic, many of the network’s shows have been given a shorter run, with NCIS New Orleans series six having 20 episodes and season five having 24. Season seven will kick off on the network next week on Sunday, November 8.

Agent Dwayne Pride (played by Scott Bakula) usually likes to keep his cards close to his chest when it comes to his personal affairs.

But what fans do know about Pride is that he has an ex-wife called Linda Pride and a daughter named Laurel (Shanley Caswell).

Linda featured in one of the two backdoor pilot episodes of NCIS New Orleans which was part of an episode in NCIS season 11 in May 2014.

This then led to the spin-off being picked up for a full season a few months later.

Linda had only been in that very first episode of NCIS New Orleans but had been talked about on numerous occasions.

She did make a second appearance though earlier this year in series six, much to fans’ surprise.

Linda returned in the episode Predators, reuniting with her ex-husband as they helped to plan Laurel’s wedding together.

Even though it hasn’t been confirmed Linda will be back, their daughter’s wedding has not been shown yet so it is likely she is going to return when that episode airs.

Who plays Dwayne Pride’s ex-wife Linda Pride in NCIS New Orleans?

Dwayne’s ex-wife Linda is portrayed by 55-year-old actress Paige Turco.

Her acting career started in 1987 when Turco got the role of Dinah Morgan in Guiding Light before being cast as Melanie ‘Lanie’ Cortlandt Rampal in All My Children.

She became more worldly recognised then when she played April O’Neil in 90s family films Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III.

After this, Turco appeared in several popular series so many viewers will more likely remember her for these roles.

Turco’s television career has included starring in NYPD Blue as Officer Abby Sullivan, American Gothic as Gail Emory, Party of Five as Annie Mott, The Agency as Terri Lowell and Rescue Me as Nell Turbody.

Then some of her more recent work has been in Big Shots, Damages, Person of Interest and To Appomattox.

Sci-fi fans however, will most likely know Turco as Dr Abigail Griffin from The 100.

Viewers were left devastated in season seven when Abby had her mind wiped by Russell Lightbourne (JR Bourne), effectively killing her and turning Abby into the new host for his wife Simone.

Despite being best known for acting, Turco originally had a different career path she was following.

Turco used to be a ballerina and had performed with the Amherst Ballet Theater Company, New England Dance

Conservatory and Western Massachusetts Ballet Company.

This was until she broke her ankle which essentially ended her career as a ballerina but led to becoming an actress instead.

NCIS New Orleans is available to watch on CBS.
