Our Yorkshire Farms Amanda shares peak inside daughters uni life as she graduates
It was celebrations all round this weekend as Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen took to social media to congratulate her daughter Raven on her graduation.
The 48 year old farmer shared a series of snaps with her followers on Twitter and Instagram of her, Raven, and the biomedical science class of 2022. She captioned the post: “We got to see the @YorkStJohn labs where Raven has and still does spend her time (most of it anyway). And the pub."
The recent graduate, and eldest sibling of the Owen family achieved first class honours in her field, with an impressive final score of 72.67 per cent. But it wasn’t just her mum that sent her good wishes, plenty of Amanda’s fans were quick to comment on the post as well.
“What a wonderful future ahead for Raven, beautiful and academic. Good luck,” one person wrote. Another said: “Congratulations Raven! You must all be so very proud of her.”
A third sent well wishes to the 21 year old, who said: “Huge congrats to Raven,” as a fourth mentioned Amanda’s recently estranged husband, fellow farmer and father to her children, Clive. “Congrats you and Clive must be super proud of your Raven!”
While the pair announced their amicable split in June, Amanda was joined by Clive, who is in his late sixties, to celebrate their daughter’s big day. Of course, the mum-of-nine looked as glamorous as ever as she traded in her usual farming attire for a more appropriate outfit to mark the occasion.
Pairing a stylish white blouse with a long black coat, belt and heels, Amanda, who recently donned denim shorts for a mountain climb, complemented the simple look with statement hooped earrings and her thick brown hair pinned back. Raven looked just as stunning as she donned the signature graduation gown and cap over a blue silk dress and nude strappy heels. She also wore her reddish hair down as she smiled for the photos in front of the iconic York Minster.
Whether Raven will decide to leave city life behind and head back to her farming roots, or take her degree to the next level and start a career in the biomedical science industry is currently unclear. Whatever she decides to do, it’s obvious she’s got her family cheering her on.
