Peppa Pig star Amelie Bea Smith is starring in new series Hollington Drive, which starts on ITV on Wednesday night.

The 10 year old actress will be playing the role of Eva in the drama, which is full of twists and turns as cracks begin to appear in a family.

However, Amelie already has an impressive career as she took over the voice of Peppa Pig from Harley Bird in 2020 following a 13-year stint with it reported at the time she could earn up to £1million in a year.

As well as Peppa Pig, the actress recently starred in creepy Netflix series The Haunting Of Bly Manor, where she played the role of Flora Wingrave.

Prior to this, Amelie played the role of Daisy in EastEnders from 2018 until 2019.

Talking about her role as Peppa Pig on This Morning in June, the actress revealed that her first-ever word as a baby was "Peppa".

Amelie said on getting the part: "Well, I don't sound exactly the same as the other people who have done Peppa Pig before but I obviously listened to it a lot when I was younger.

"So I kind of went from there and adapted it slightly to my voice how it is normally."

Hollington Drive is a stark contrast to Peppa Pig as the new ITV drama series follows two sisters whose lives are turned upside down when a child goes missing.

The four-part thriller opens as the chaotic Theresa, played by Line Of Duty's Anna Maxwell Martin, and her older, more sensible headteacher sister Helen (Rachael Stirling) are enjoying a barbecue in the garden with their partners and children.

It’s a perfect summer evening for an idyllic family set-up. Or so it appears.

When her 10-year-old son, Ben (Fraser Holmes), asks if he and his cousin Eva (Amelie Bea Smith) can go to play in the park, Theresa’s intuition tells her that this won’t end well.

Predictably, Ben and Eva fail to return at the agreed time, leaving the panicking mum to head off in search of them.

When she discovers the pair fighting at the entrance to a woodland area, she begins to suspect the worst.

And soon, her darkest fears seem to have been realised when a neighbour Jean (Jodie McNee) arrives to say her little boy, Alex, also 10, has gone missing.

What has happened to him — and could Ben or Eva be responsible?

As the two sisters attempt to navigate the unnavigable, tensions rise and the cracks start to appear in their close relationship.
