Phillip Schofield forced to intervene as This Morning ‘fat hero’ row explodes

This Morning host Phillip Schofield was forced to intervene when two guests began shouting over each other during a row about obesity on Monday's show.

The debate was about whether children need to have more overweight characters to look up to and about the stigma of being heavier.

Presenter Steve Miller, who hosted Fat Families on Sky in 2010, clashed with Natasha Laramie, who calls herself the Fat Doctor.

The debate started off amicably, as Steve told Natasha that whilst he agreed that children should have some more diverse role models, he didn't want being "fat" to be glorified.

As the pair began to bicker about the controversial topic, Phillip quickly interjected as he told the pair they couldn't talk over each other.

He said: "Don't talk at the same time, it's even harder with calls like this because you cut each other off.

"So Steve, why don't you go next?"
