Loose Women panellist Denise Welch, 63, has reignited her feud with Piers Morgan, 56, calling him out in a scathing Instagram post. It comes after the former Good Morning Britain host branded Naomi Osaka, 23, a “spoiled, arrogant brat”, after she made the decision to not speak to the press at the French Open 2021.
The world number two has since pulled out of the tennis competition, saying she has been struggling with her mental health.
Denise has since taken to Instagram and hit out at Piers for his remarks made in his latest column.
In view of her 230,000 followers, the Hollyoaks star shared the recent article the columnist had written based on the tennis player.
The headline read: “Narcissistic Naomi’s cynical exploitation of mental health to silence the media is right from the Meghan and Harry playbook of wanting their press cake and eating it.”
Denise fumed: “Piers Morgan publicly berating a brilliant young woman for prioritising her mental health AGAIN!
“Naomi Osaka has bravely withdrawn from the French Open after admitting to crippling depression since 2018 and that fear of talking to the press until the end of the competition can bring on her anxiety.
“Anyone who has suffered depression and anxiety knows that life becomes unbearable and you will do anything to stop the pain.
“Piers also proves why so many people suffer in silence because of fear of being called ‘an arrogant narcissistic spoiled brat’. This man is an f*****g disgrace.”
Later, Piers shared a picture of himself alongside Serena Williams in an apparent attempt to ease the slew of criticism he has received.
Denise re-shared the post and called him out for his “pathetic attempt to deflect” from the furious response.
She wrote: “Pathetic attempt to deflect from the HUGE amount of deserved criticism levelled at him after his utterly disgraceful bullying of Naomi Osaka.
“Most of this comes not from trolls but from intelligent people sickened by his ongoing attitude towards women speaking out about serious mental health issues.”

Piers received backlash on social media following his comments about Naomi, who he had compared to Meghan Markle.
He suggested that the tennis star wanted “to have her cake and eat it”.
Piers added to Mail Online that the tennis star’s decision to not speak with the press “is straight out of the Meghan and Harry playbook of wanting to have the world’s largest cake and eating it, by exploiting the media for ruthlessly commercial self-promotion but using mental health to silence any media criticism”.
Denise – who has also been open about her battle with depression – has previously clashed with the presenter after sharing her thoughts about the pandemic last year.
She then took a break from social media after Piers branded her a “Covid denier,” which she maintained wasn’t true.
Addressing last year’s spat, Denise explained to The Mirror that she had taken some time away from social media.
“I’ve just backed off now. I’ve had enough of it. I’ve said my piece and I tried to do what I could for the mental health of the people who follow me.
“Now I’m just keeping my head down and looking after myself and my family,” she explained.
