Piers Morgan dubs Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala outfit ‘trash bag and Taliban burka’

Piers Morgan wasn’t holding back as he took aim at Kim Kardashian for her Met Gala outfit.

The controversial ex-Good Morning Britain host wasn’t keen on Kim K’s all black ensemble – which included a fetish-style hood and two long trains which trailed after her on the red carpet.

But Piers instantly branded her outfit "a fusion of a giant black trash bag and Taliban burka".

Taking aim at the reality star, Piers wrote in his latest MailOnline column: "Kim who was mercilessly mocked on social media for wearing what seemed to be a fusion of giant black trash bag and Taliban burka that covered every inch of her face and body.

"Ironically, she looked better than I’ve seen her for years."

Kim donned the incredibly Balenciaga creation for the event, which featured a balloon-sleeve short black dress over black tights and stiletto heels.

The ensemble completely covered her entire face and body, leaving just her sleek ponytail to fall down her back, with her hands encased in gloves and the train of the dress sprawling after her.

The custom outfit was designed by Demna Gvasalia, and corresponds with Kim’s new BDSM-inspired bodysuits that she wore to ex Kanye West’s listening parties and to New York Fashion Week.

Piers, predictably, also hit out at other celebs who had attended the Met Gala to "make political points", including Old Town Road rapper Lil Nas X, who he said resembled a "giant golden blob".

Of Bad Girl hitmaker Billie Eilish, Piers said she came as a "giant pink blancmange", while tennis star Serena Williams was an "unkempt sheep", while Whoopi Goldberg appeared as a "purple curtain".

But Piers was especially furious with United States Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

The political figure attended the event in a stunning white gown with the words ‘Tax the rich’ emblazoned across the back in red text.

Piers pointed out that despite AOC’s manifesto being against the "planet-ending evils of materialistic, vacuous, obscenely ostentatious capitalism", she had elected to "prance about" on the red carpet of that same example of capitalism.

He added that model and actress Cara Delevingne was out "virtue-signalling" in her ‘Peg the Patriarchy "suicide bomber vest", while Gossip Girl star Evan Mock appeared as an "overgrown schoolboy".

It comes after Piers lashed out at Madonna’s VMA outfit – branding her busty ensemble "cringe" on Twitter.

The songstress had shown up in a skintight latex playsuit to accentuate her curves and ample assets, going full Dominatrix in a latex cap and fishnets.

The ex-GMB host soon drew criticism from her horde of fans, as one replied to his comment: "It’s called fashion Piers, you just don’t happen to like it. Which of course is devastating for the world."
