Primark delights shoppers with first ever online shopping option while stores in Tier 4 are closed

Christmas shopping was admittedly a little different for most of us this year, with those placed in Tier 4 having to get even more creative with their present buying.

While most of us did a lot more online shopping this year, Primark lovers were at a loss as the store doesn’t sell anything via their website.

However, one way that anyone missing Primark can get still get their fix is with a gift card to spend in the New Year.

Primark are offering their gift cards loaded up with anything from £5 to £200 to online shoppers.

Usually these are strictly available to buy online so this is a big move for the retailer.

They shared the gift cards on the Primark Instagram page yesterday, explaining how they can be emailed to customers or sent through the post.

"Still on the hunt for something they'll love? You can send gift cards via post or email if you're in the UK or Ireland. Find out more on," the store posted to its 8 million plus following.

Before the recent changes to regulations, some Primark stores had been open 24 hours in a bid to entice more Christmas customers.

Chief executive Paul Marchant said: "We are delighted to re-open our stores in England on 2 December, with longer shopping hours to give our customers more time to safely do their festive shopping.

Meanwhile, Primark’s festive shopping bags are being recycled to make perfect present wrapping paper.

TikTok user Sandra Hawkes has showcased how to use the bags, and the results looked brilliant.

The mum first shared footage of herself buying gifts which came in the large bag from a Primark store.

Sandra then showed off the gifts looking amazing, in the striped red and brown paper complete with included gift tags.

She captioned the end of the video, writing: "Well done Primark!"

So far her present wrapping hack has garnered over 1.1 million views online, with many people being shocked about the secret design.

Many commented that all shops should think about doing similar at this time of year.
