RHOC alum Heather Dubrow was actually FIRED from show and did not quit like she said, Tamra Judge claims – The Sun
REAL Housewives of Orange County alum Heather Dubrow was actually FIRED from the show and did not quit as she said, Tamra Judge claimed.
Heather starred on the reality series for four seasons, from 2012-2016.
Tamra said on Behind the Velvet Rope podcast with David Yontef Heather's exit from the series was production's "biggest mistake getting rid of her."
She went on: “I think it was a personal thing, I really do. I think it was a personal conflict with an executive at Bravo…
“Like, personality clashes… She wanted things done a certain way, but trust me, there’s people on the cast right now that are way worse. Way worse…
"On [the producers] like crazy, yelling and screaming, blowing their phones up … yeah.”
was offered something by production and turned it down, so she wasn’t really fired.”
When she left the show Heather released a statement saying: "After a lot of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided not to return to RHOC this season. These past 5 years have been an incredible journey and I'm so proud to have been a part of such an iconic piece of pop culture."
"I am so grateful to Evolution Media, Bravo and the whole NBCU family for all of the incredible experiences and the opportunities RHOC has afforded me and my family. However, at this point in my life, I have decided to go in another direction and do what’s best for my family and career. Should I change my mind, I thank Andy Cohen, Evolution and Bravo for telling me that the door is always open."
Tamra argued: “I felt like [Heather] was amazing on the show. She gave the show a little bit of class, a little bit more class than it has right now.
“She [always had] fun trips and exciting things planned for us, and it’s not like something she just did for TV because she still does it.”
Tamra went on to say leaving the show was extremely difficult.
She revealed: “Oh yeah. She took it bad. It was hard for her…
"She’s the one who taught me to unfollow everybody because it’s the easiest way to get over things…
"She was also offered a part-time role and didn’t take it…
The former RHOC star added: "I think what they wanted to do was sort of smack her around and say, you know what, here’s a part-time role and then the next year they probably would have brought her back. But I’m just speculating…”
“It took her a while to get over it, too."
However, Tamra recently refuted claims she tried to get Kelly Dodd fired from the reality franchise.
A fan asked Tamra during a Q & A on her Instagram stories: “Kelly said you tried to get her fired.”
Tamra denied the claims, saying of Kelly: “She’s full s**t.”
She continued: “I’ve never tried to get anyone fired from RHOC.
“I never had that power.”
Tamra also shared Heather supported her after she got fires saying: “[Heather] reached out to me as soon as she found out about [me getting fired] and she’s like, ‘I can’t even believe this!
"What is going on in the world?’ She told me [it took her] a while.
"She goes, ‘It probably took me three years to follow people and talk about the Housewives again.’”
