Sex and the City star John Corbett to reprise role as Aidan Shaw in reboot alongside Sarah Jessica Parker

John Corbett will be reprising his role as Aidan Shaw in the reboot of Sex and the City, he has confirmed.
The 59-year-old starred opposite Sarah Jessica Parker, playing her character Carrie Bradshaw's one-time fiancé, in the hit US show from 2000 to 2003.
He returned to the role for the second movie based on the series in 2012, and will be back again for the continuation series, And Just Like That.
The 10-episode series will air on HBO Max in the USA, with Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis also reprising their respective roles as Miranda Hobbs and Charlotte York Goldenblatt.

Golden Globe nominee John said the news of his reprisal was "very exciting" and that filming will commence this spring.
He told Page Six: "I'm going to do the show," adding that he will be in "quite a few" of the 10 episodes.

John's character was a furniture designer who caught Carrie's attention after one of her break-ups from on-off boyfriend Mr Big.
Their romance came to an end when Carrie admitted to sleeping with Mr Big behind Aidan's back on more than one occasion.
After an attempt to reignite their romance, the pair called it quits for good when Carrie told him she wasn't ready for marriage.

And Just Like That will not feature series favourite Samantha Jones after actress Kim Cattrall decided not to re-join the cast.
Sarah commented on Kim's decision to not take part: "I don't dislike her. I've never said that. Never would.
"Samantha isn't part of this story. But she will always be part of us. No matter where we are or what we do."
