Asa Butterfield has taken to his social media to tell his fans to "leave him be" after a night out where he had to "slap" phones out of his face.
The Sex Education star, who plays Otis Milburn in the Netflix series, has clapped back at fans who don't ask for permission to take photos of him.
Asa said on Twitter: "I'm so tired of people filming me/taking pics without asking while I'm on a night out. It actually kills my mood and my night, f**k off, leave me be please.
"Tweeting this from a cab home after I've had to slap multiple phones out my face tonight."
However the 24 year old finished his tweet on a lighter note with a picture of his pet captioning the image: "Anyway look at my cat."
Multiple fans quickly rushed to support the Netflix star.
One tweeted back: "I wish people would actually listen to this tweet but unfortunately so many are delusional and this kind of thing will always be common."
Another added: "Sorry people are so inconsiderate. On another note I stayed up all night to binge S3 and it was my favourite season, though I love them all. So much character growth all the way around."
A third fan said: "I’ll never understand why people behave the way they do towards public figures, why would you want their only impression of u to be negative??? Let the man do tequila shots and regret it immediately in peace ffs."
Another tweeted: "People really don't know what respect and privacy mean. Sorry to hear that."
The third series of Sex Education has recently been added to Netflix and so far has received praise from fans.
The programme follows a group of students at Moordale School and their often sex related issues.
Asa told The Guardian that his character Otis has grown up in the latest series and become more 'sassy'.
He said: "There's a bit of a time-jump since the season two cliff hanger.
"Otis is back at school but he's got different things on his plate.
"He's grown up a bit and become slightly more sassy."
Asa began his successful career back in 2008 when he appeared in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and he has also appeared in films like Hugo, Ender’s Game and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
The star recently mentioned to Cosmopolitan UK that he didn't know whether there would be a season four of the show or not yet.
