Spoilers: Max dodges vital sex consent lesson in Corrie

Coronation Street has recently been tackling the topical subject of ‘upskirting’ photographs, as the character of Max Turner (Paddy Bever) was caught looking at an upskirting photo on his phone.

His behaviour was called out by Amy (Elle Mulvaney) and Summer (Harriet Bibby), who was horrified to discover that it was a photograph of her that he was looking it. Amy and Asha (Tanisha Gorey) thought Summer should report the photo to the police, but she was too embarrassed.

Meanwhile Amy warned Max she would find out who took the photos and make sure they were punished.

In upcoming episodes Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) decides to write a social media post encouraging kids to attend a workshop about consent.

But Max, perhaps the one who needs to learn about the subject most urgently, fails to turn up at the workshop. Is he feeling too guilty because of what he’s done?

It looks like he won’t be able to avoid the subject for long, though. As soon as David (Jack P. Shepherd) finds out that Max swerved the workshop, he makes it very clear that he expects him to attend the next one, and if he doesn’t he’ll have David to answer to.

Will Max see the error of his ways and get himself educated about consent?
