Kirstie Allsopp has called out Prince Harry in a new Twitter post after he announced his memoir. The Location, Location, Location presenter has criticised the royal for continuing to use his title to “sell books”.

Following the announcement Prince Harry will be releasing a memoir, Kirstie was quick to react.

The broadcaster responded to Penguin Random House sharing a quote from the Duke of Sussex about his book.

In this, Prince Harry said: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.”

This was attributed to “Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex” by the publisher.

In response, Kirstie penned: “In which case stop using the title to sell books.”

The outspoken presenter also retweeted a user who removed his title from the quote.

Many of Kirstie’s followers responded to her tweet with their own thoughts.

One replied to the broadcaster saying: “Yes! My thoughts exactly.”

“Totally,” penned another while a third wrote: “Hear hear”.

“So embarrassing why won’t they just stop……like maybe just give it a few years,” added a fourth.

However, some people are excited about the news, taking to Twitter to share their anticipation.

Posting below Penguin’s announcement, one wrote: “Princess Diana should’ve written her own memoir.

“Tell your own story or others will tell it for you. Good one, Prince Harry.”

Another penned: “I am excited to hear his truth from his perspective not from the so-called carnival of experts!!!”

“Excited to read this one!! Thank you,” replied a third.

This all comes after it was announced earlier tonight Prince Harry had landed a book deal.

Penguin said in a statement: “In an intimate and heartfelt memoir from one of the most fascinating and influential global figures of our time, Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.

“Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father.

“Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous, and uplifting human story.”

The book is expected to be released globally in late 2022.

Kirstie is not the only celebrity to respond to the news as Piers Morgan also shared his response.

Reacting to the news the former Good Morning Britain presenter wrote: “You’ve got to be f***ing joking?????”
