Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special celebrity line-up has been confirmed

The Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final is upon us, and we'll soon find out who will claim the prestigious Glitterball Trophy.

It's always a bit bittersweet knowing that the series is coming to an end, but luckily fans of the BBC show have something else to look forward to this December.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will be back this year, meaning there is plenty more glitter, fabulous outfits and impressive dance moves to look forward to.

You won't be seeing Rose Ayling-Ellis or John Whaite in the Christmas special. Instead fans will see six new celebrities performing a Christmas-inspired routine, with the hope of impressing judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas – as well as the audience.

When is the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special 2021?

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special 2021 will air on Christmas Day, December 25.

It is scheduled to air at 5.10pm on BBC One.

Who is in the line-up for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special?

Adrian Chiles

Broadcaster and writer Adrian Chiles will be dancing with professional dancer Jowita Przystal.

They will be dancing an American Smooth to White Christmas, by Otis Redding.

Speaking ahead of taking part, he said: "Discouragingly, every one of my family and friends with whom I've shared this news, has reacted with horror. They can't believe I'm doing it, and neither can I.

"Thoughts and prayers with whichever poor dancer is lumbered with me."


Pop singer Anne-Marie will be paired with Graziano Di Prima, who was took part in this year's series with Judi Love.

Anne-Marie and Graziano will be dancing a Cha Cha to Feliz Navidad by Gwen Stefani.

Speaking about taking part in Strictly, she said: "I'm excited to take part in the Strictly Christmas special. I love the show, and who would turn down a dance with Graziano?!"

Moira Stewart, OBE

Newsreader Moira Stewart will be dancing with Aljaz Skorjanec.

Moria and Aljaz will be dancing a Salsa to Santa Claus Is Coming To Town by Justin Bieber.

Speaking about taking to the Strictly ballroom, she said: "I'm really looking forward to the Strictly Christmas special. I've loved dancing for as long as I can remember.

"In fact, it even helped me try to keep warm in my early coldwater flat."

Mel Giedroyc

Actress and TV presenter Mel Giedroyc will be paired with Neil Jones.

Mel and Neil will be dancing a Couple’s Choice to Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice.

Speaking about taking part, she said: "I don't think I've been this excited about Christmas since I got my first guinea-pig from Santa in 1978."

Fred Sirieix

First Dates star Fred Sirieix will be paired with Dianne Buswell. They will be dancing the Quickstep to Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin’ Stevens.

Ahead of taking part, he said: "I absolutely love Christmas so I'm delighted to be taking part in the Strictly Christmas special and to be partnered with the magnificent Dianne.

"I hope my dance moves bring some Christmas joy to everybody wathching at home and don't make the judges say "Bah, Humbug!"

Jay Blades, MBE

The Repair Shop star Jay Blades MBE will be partnered with Luba Mushtuk.

They will be performing a Jive to Hooky Street/Only Fools And Horses by John Sullivan/Ronnie Hazlehurst/

Jay said: "I'm super excited, times two! One, because I'm going to learn a new dance apart from the Dad dance, and two because I'm going to be on Strictly!

"It's a show that I've always admired, and I can't wait to see how I perform!"
