John Whaite and Johannes Radebe have something different in store for Strictly Come Dancing viewers this week.

The duo appeared on It Takes Two tonight to discuss their performances over the last few weeks and revealed they will be dancing the rumba to Sting’s Shape of My Heart this coming Saturday.

Presenter Ryan Clark-Neal aptly called the song ‘sensual central’ to which John quipped: ‘Just wait till you see it, we are going to get complaints.’

Wanting the low-down on how the first two days of rehearsals have been going, the presenter asked for gossip and he definitely received some juicy revelations from the former Great British Bake Off champion.

‘It’s intimate,’ said John.

‘Day one when we did this on Monday, I’m not ashamed to admit this, when we danced it I actually cried. Because we have done all these masculine things, these very powerful things, which have been great, but to finally show a sensitive emotional site, it’s beautiful.’

So are they going to deliver an emotional and close performance? ‘I breathe down his neck…,’ joked John.

‘I saw a video like this once!’ was Ryan’s squeamish reaction.

‘I’m not going to have garlic. No salmon,’ added John, hoping to spare his professional dance partner.

On his side, Johannes said himself ‘thrilled’ so be doing a slower dance after two busy week, with the quickstep on Halloween and the charleston the week prior.

‘I think it’s an opportunity for me and john to be able to express, to be vulnerable on that dance floor, because we haven’t had the opportunity,’ he said.

Confessing that it is a difficult dance, Johannes added: ‘I’m loving every minute of it’.

On last week’s programme, John and Johannes scored 33 points placing them in the middle of the pack.

Facing elimination were Judi Love and her partner Graziano Di Prima who faced off Adam Peaty and Katya Jones in the dance-offs, but judges ultimately decided to unanimously save Adam and Katya.
