Survivor’s Michelle Yi ‘stabbed and beaten by homeless woman in vicious attack’
Survivor star Michelle Yi has been stabbed and beaten with a metal baton during a frenzied attack in California, according to reports.
The reality star, who appeared on Survivor: Fiji in 2007, was reportedly getting ready to teach a pilates class in Santa Monica at around 6am on Thursday when she was allegedly attacked by a woman who appeared to be homeless.
Police have said that Michelle, 37, was one of three people attacked by the same alleged assailant on that particular day.
Speaking about the alleged incident to People, the TV personality said she noticed a dishevelled and agitated-looking woman approach the open front door of her pilates studio while her students began to arrive.
Michelle said: "She was yelling all sorts of things like, 'You stole my identity,' and, 'You're a prostitute'.
"Santa Monica has a homeless problem, and I've dealt with this type of thing before. So I told her, 'Ma'am, you can't be here. You need to leave.'"
However the woman ignored Michelle's request and allegedly pounced at her with a knife in one hand and a metal baton in the other.
The woman ended up stabbing Michelle in her left bicep, it's alleged.
She continued to allegedly attack her viciously and struck her on the right hand with the baton, smashing Michelle's Apple watch, before striking her in the head with the weapon.
Michelle said: "My face split open. Blood was everywhere."
The alleged attacker then ran off and one of Michelle's pilate students attempted to call 911 but apparently couldn't get through as officers were busy at the time.
A few minutes later, the students managed to flag down a passing patrol car on the street.
Santa Monica Police Department's spokesperson Lieutenant Rudy Flores, informed Outlet that the suspect was still close by when officers arrived at the scene.
Rudy explained: "The officers took her into custody and interviewed the victims and the witnesses."
Michelle was taken into hospital where she underwent an X-Ray on her hand and discovered that there were no broken bones.
However the star had to receive several stitches on her face to close a wound that is situated below her right eyebrow.

Talking to People further, Michelle expressed that she is unaware of why the alleged assailant attacked her.
The Survivor star said she understands her alleged attacker was a white woman, who is also claimed to have attacked an elderly Asian man and someone else on the same day.
Michelle also mentioned that she cannot prove if the alleged attack was racially motivated.
